Donald Trump was convicted in May on 34 counts of falsifying business records related to a $130,000 hush money payment to adult-film star Stormy Daniels.

The payment was made during the 2016 election to silence claims of an alleged affair, which Trump denies.

The district attorney's office acknowledged that Trump's sentencing is unlikely to occur before the end of his upcoming presidential term.
